No. Images are fetched from short‑lived Blob URLs for OCR, and then deleted immediately after processing.

What image formats are supported?
We accept JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, HEIF, AVIF, TIFF. If a format is not processed natively, we convert it to JPEG server‑side for OCR.
What are the size and dimension limits?
Each image can be up to 10MB and up to 8192×8192 pixels. For OCR, images may be resized down to a max edge of 2560px to improve reliability and latency.
How many images can I process at once?
Up to 12 images per request.
Will multi‑page text be ordered correctly?
Yes — when processing multiple images, we attempt text‑based order inference to output the most likely page order.
What counts as a “page”?
One exported PDF page.
What happens on the Free plan?
You can export 15 pages/month with a small watermark (“Created with tracewriting.com”).
Do you retry OCR on transient errors?
Yes. We retry Gemini calls up to 3 times with exponential backoff starting at 1000ms.
Which OCR providers are used?
Gemini is the primary provider. In certain cases we may fall back to OpenAI for resilience.
